As a Mumbaikar I always wondered what would Delhi be like , since we in Mumbai only see Delhi in Movies and News channels. I wanted to really explore Old Delhi and its famous spots & finally i got a chance to see and explore Old Delhi’s Markets and Food Joints.
We had only 6 hours in our hand to explore Delhi since we were to catch a night train from Delhi to further up north. So we decided to use our time to check out nearby market place of Delhi & to our good luck the very famous Chandni Chowk was only 10 minutes away from the Railway station. And so, after keeping our luggage in the Railway Cloak Room, with great excitement we caught a rickshaw to Chandni Chowk.
Just like Electric Rickshaw in Haridwar * even Delhi operates E-rickshaws on private and Share basis. It costs Rs.10 per person in a Share-a-rickshaw from Old Delhi Railway Station to Chandni Chowk and on meter basis in private rickshaw.
