Like most of the people visiting the North of India, we too decided to cover many famous tourist places in Punjab and around it, in December 2018.
We visited Amritsar and Chandigarh in Punjab.
Amritsar
A feeling of peace and divinity is what you will experience when you step in the Holy city of Amritsar. When you say Amritsar, the one and only thing that comes to your mind is “The Golden Temple” popularly also known as “Sri Harmandir Sahib”.

For a happy life, make others
happy.
I just didn’t wish to move away from the Temple to visit other places in Amritsar. The feeling you get at Sri Harmandir Sahib is unexplainable.
When lit up beautifully at Night, the Reflection of Sri Harmandir Sahib in the holy water around, also becomes Golden.
The Heritage Street & Jallianwala Baug
When you reach the Heritage Street you feel that you have entered a new world altogether.

- Sri Harmandir Sahib / The Golden Temple
- Wagah Border (We couldn’t go due to lack of time, but will visit next time for sure)
- Jallianwala Baug – A place to revere
- Shree Durgiana Tirath
- Amritsar Heritage Walk
- Akal Takht
The Durgiana Tirath is a place of quiet and calm.
